I’m L.A. Dubay, CTRS — a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, U.S. veteran, and service-connected disabled veteran based in Indianapolis, Indiana. I founded Recreation and Recovery Services because I believe the most powerful healing doesn’t always happen in a clinical office. It happens in community, in activity, in connection — and through purposeful engagement with the world around us.

I provide specialized telehealth wellness and recovery programs, recreation therapy, behavior consultation, and social prescribing services fully remote, nationwide — serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), veterans, people in substance use recovery, and mental health group participants.

What is Social Prescribing?:

Social prescribing is a growing movement in healthcare — physicians, clinicians, and discharge planners prescribe non-clinical, activity-based wellness programs instead of (or alongside) medication. As a CTRS, social prescribing is affirmed by the American Therapeutic Recreation Association as within my scope of practice. If you are a clinician looking to refer a patient, I am a trusted social prescribing resource. Contact me to learn more.
